Australia has been one of the countries that took time to open up their boarders to international visitors. With an unsteady Covid rate and retaliation from the public the country has finally gained some sort of normalcy. For many they like to think that life has somewhat returned to normal, while for others the bad experience and gloom of 2 years is still hanging over them.
However how do you manoeuvre through everyday life after being so restricted for over 2 years? It can feel overwhelming and frustrating but just know that many are in the same boat as you. So here are some things that can help get through this unsteady and completely new territory.
Your Health Still Matters
Maybe people are relaxing their social distancing rules and even wearing the mask. Either way your health matters to you and if you still feel like you like being protected by the mask you should wear it. The p2 respirators are ideal as they provide sufficient coverage and are comfortable enough to breathe in. it can be worn for a few times making it less harmful than the surgical mask that can only be worn once. Many enjoy the protection they feel especially when in crowds or public transport.
Avoid Crowds You Are Not Comfortable With
Now that everything is open you must have people calling you out to meet in public places such as crowded clubs, concerts etc. if you are not yet comfortable with being in a public place there is nothing in wrong in declining the offer.
You could wear your mask, however if you battle respiratory health conditions or any sort of underlying health conditions that could be risk when combined Covid then you will have to take precaution. Being hesitant is normal and you have to consider your health before your social engagements.
Play is Safe
If you think that the mask is something you could eliminate you should still carry a sanitizer with you. Have you ever stopped to think just how unhygienic our lives were before Covid? If the pandemic has taught us one thing it is that we really did not care before Covid. There is an unimaginable number of germs on our hands as we touch all sorts of surfaces. Therefore, even now post pandemic a sanitizer should be a mandatory item in your bag or car.
Be Mindful
Allergies, flus and just about anything is enough to trigger our nose. Sneezing and coughing is very common and could happen for just about any reason. Even if you don’t cringe each time you hear someone sneeze you should not take it lightly. Be mindful of where you, cover your nose and mouth if you are feeling sick and remind others around you to do the same.
We may be back to living our lives but the threat is not and will probably not ever be fully gone, so prevention is better than cure.
